उदयपुर. सेवाश्रम तिराहे पर सोमवार शाम को एक रोडवेज बस ने साइकिल सवार बच्चे को कुचल दिया। हादसे में बच्चे की मौके पर ही मौत हो गई। बच्चा ठोकर चौराहे स्थित इंस्टीट्यूट से कराटे (कराटे) क्लास लेने के बाद वापस घर आ रहा था। हादसे में एस. कृष्णा कल्याण (12) पुत्र एस. वेंकटेश्वर राव की मौत हुई है। मृतक बच्चे के पिता बैंक में मैनेजर हैं।
बस चालक ऋषभदेव निवासी गोपाल सिंह पुत्र शंकर सिंह को गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया है। हादसे के बाद बस में बैठी सवारियां नीचे उतरीं, इसी दौरान बस चालक भी वहां से फरार हो गया। हालांकि कुछ देर बाद उसने थाने पर पहुंचकर आत्मसमर्पण कर दिया। मौके पर पहुंची पुलिस ने बस जब्त कर शव मोरचरी में रखवाया और बच्चे के परिजनों को सूचित किया। पुलिस ने बताया कि मूलत: आंध्रप्रदेश, हाल पाठों की मगरी निवासी एस वेंकटेश्वर राव बैंक मैनेजर हैं।
पिछले सह्रश्वताह मनाया था जन्मदिन
मार्शल आर्ट एकेडमी के हरीश कुमार सांवरिया ने बताया कि कृष्णा का पिछले सह्रश्वताह 25 जनवरी को बर्थ डे था। सभी ने मिलकर सेलिब्रेट किया था। कृष्णा ने चार महीने पहले एकेडमी में एडमिशन लिया था। सीखने की ललक इतनी ज्यादा थी कि वह आगे से आगे रहकर चीजें सीखता था। पिछले दिनों हुए टेस्ट एक बार में पास किया और ऑरेंज बेल्ट हासिल की थी। इतना हंसमुख और मिलनसार था कि हर रोज एकेडमी में आते-जाते हुए सभी से मिलकर जाता था। पढाई में भी होनहार था। कृष्णा सेंट एंथनी स्कूल में आठवीं का स्टूडेंट था।

But, I believe just punishing the bus driver would not be the solution. The authorities should realize why such a thing even happened.
There is generally heavy traffic on Sewashram, Why there is still no provision of street lights there?
What were the traffic personnel doing on the accident site. Aren’t they equally responsible for the damage?
Why were the authorities not proactive to construct a speed braker near the square. Aren’t they responsible?
There may be many answers to all the above questions. But, the sad part is it led to the death of a 12 year old kid to even have this discussion.
Its high time that we become aware of our city, the development in the city and the persons responsible for it.
And for the sake of God, please remove the first pic which includes the dead child. It does not make any sense.
